Ms. Raheela Shaikh
Ms. Raheela is the Head of the Humanities Department and serves as the High School English, AP English Literature, Women in Literature and Film Studies teacher. She has a Bachelor's in English and Biology from the University of Texas in Arlington, and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Art in Education at the Liverpool Hope University, UK. Ms. Raheela is certified from the State of Texas in English, Language Arts, 8-12, English as a Second Language (ESL), AP English Literature, and IB Language A1. She has previously taught in Lancaster, Texas and this is her fourth year at AAM.
Ms. Wasan Azzam
Ms. Wasan teachers high school Math and is from Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Arts- Major in Math and Computer Math from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Education from University of Ottawa. She has taught in Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia.
Ms. Christina Gray
Ms. Christina is a Social Studies teacher here at AAG, teaching 9th and 10th grade World History and Business. She received her Bachelors and teaching certificate from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She was born and raised in Mckinney, Texas where all her family still lives. Before coming to AAM she workd in Salina, Oklahoma. She loves to travel. experience new places and cultures.
Ms. Danielle Jantzi
Ms. Danielle Jantzi teaches grades 10 and 11 English, as well as AP English Language Arts. She is originally from a small town called Lowville in Northern New York. She graduated from SUNY Oswego with her B.S. in Secondary English Education, and SUNY Potsdam where she attained her Master's degree in Literacy. Ms. Danielle has been teaching since 2004. This year will be her second year as part of the AAM family.
Ms. Melissa Loewe
Ms. Melissa is the Mathematics Department Chair, and teaches Geometry, Financial Math, and Algebra 2. She has a B.S and M.A in Education. Ms. Melissa is originally from the US state of Maine. She joined the AAM faculty in 2009 after teaching in the US, Venezuela, and the Philippines. She embraces the use of technology in the classrom and multi-modal learning. When not working diligently in our secondary school, she may be found swimming, kayaking, and traveling. Her favorite mathematician is, of course, Erdos.
Ms Karen Nyborg
Ms. Karen is a part of the Humanities Department and teaches World History 2, World Geography and Economics. She comes to us from Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Canada. Ms. Karen has a Bachelor of Arts with a double Major in International Development Studies and History as well as a Bachelor of Education degree both from the University of New Brunswick. Ms. Karen has had the opportunity to teach in Saint John, Canada; Seoul, South Korea; Beijing, China; Abu Dhabi, UAE; and now is looking forward to the opportunity to teaching in Dubai. This is her first year teaching at AAM.
Ms Devi Gurnani
Ms Devi has a Masters in Science and Bachelor in Education. She has over 10 years teaching experience and this includes experience in international teaching in the GCC for 6 years . She has taught the British-Cambridge and Edexcel,the IB and the American Curriculum. Ms Devi is currently teaching Physics,Chemistry and Physical Science in AAM.
